Our bio resin GRP Dog Shower project is the perfect example of an entrepreneurial and innovative business that has successfully developed an idea from concept through to premium brand retail sales.
The INCREDIBLE DOG SHOWER™ is the first domestic home dog shower available in the UK market. It is designed to change people’s approach to everyday dog washing for the benefit of both dogs and their owners. Ease of use, aesthetics, seamless integration into the home and environmental sustainability were just some of the considerations at the forefront of this product and it’s design.
Using bio-resin GRP, a strong and resilient material, the incredible dog shower is a unit that can be installed into homes and includes water saving shower pump head and fur trap drainage system.
Rebecca Lee, Co-founder of the Incredible Dog Shower designed and developed the concept with Mark Bushdyhan, MD of Fabricon Design and had four very specific challenges for us:
- To produce a dog shower unit that was environmentally sustainable.
- To ensure the unit would be light weight to transport and easy to install in homes.
- To ensure the unit has a quality, high value finish for aesthetic appeal in a kitchen or utility room.
- Moulded to house additional accessories and fur trap water drainage system.

Is Environmentally Friendly Using Bio-Resin GRP:
Although GRP in its nature is a long life material, we enhanced the environmental credentials further by using our Bio-resin GRP. Bioresin GRP is derived from renewable biomass sources such as plants, algae, or waste materials. This reduces the dependency on fossil fuels and by harnessing renewable resources, bio resin contributes to a more sustainable and circular economy, while addressing concerns of climate change and plastic pollution.
Provides Ease of Transportation and Installation Features:
Bio-resin GRP is a robust material that can safely be transported in retail packaging and withstand the usual rigors of commercial carriers and distribution.
Despite it’s robust credentials, bio-resin GRP is a light weight material meaning installation in the home is much easier than traditional ceramic units. The unit has also been designed to be moved in future, so just like a washing machine (but much lighter), you can even move your dog shower, when you move house.
The lightweight unit also benefits in reduction of transportation and distribution costs, with reduced fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
Has An Aesthetic Polished Finish and Hygiene:
The incredible dog shower units are hand polished to ensure the shower unit is aesthetically appealing with seamless integration in a home setting,. This produces a quality and flawless high-gloss surface finish and provides meticulous quality inspections of each and every individual unit.
In addition, the dog shower unit has chemical resistant materials, allowing for easy cleaning with traditional home cleaning agents and therefore a longer product life span. This is an important element for daily hygiene, reducing the risk of cross-contamination and prevents discolouration.
Again these elements contribute to the environmentally friendly focus of the product.
Supports Additional Accessory Considerations:
Additional accessories fitted to the shower included a EN60335 household appliance compliant integral thermostatic valve that regulates water temperature and a trigger spray for focused flow, thereby reducing unnecessary wasted water use.
The unique and space saving design also required a hidden compartment to house it’s comprehensive water and fur trap drainage system.
On receiving delivery of the units Rebecca reflected on the journey so far and explained what it has been like working with AllScope Projects.
